Scope
Need your help in trying to purchase the right scope for me. Purchased a Remington 30.06 with a Bushnell 3-9×40 scope. My shots are between 100 to 150 yards and although this scope is ok,I would like something just a bit better. My eyesight does not help any and need all the help I can get. What do you suggest?

Most of the gun/scope combo’s provide a marginally acceptable scope. I think the Remington 770 kits come with Bushnell Banners. I had a Banner maybe 10 years ago and really didn’t like it as it would not hold zero reliably on my .270.
A real good scope at a good price is the Nikon Monarch in 2.5-10 power. It should be plenty of magnification for your needs and they have great optics.

A less expensive scope that is still good quality with more magnification is the Bushnell Elite 3200 in 4-12x. This one is much better than the Bushnell Banner.

If you want the higher magnification in what I consider a slightly higher quality than the Elite 3200, the Leupold VX-I in 4-12 is a real solid scope.
